2/9/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Petersheim showed good rhythm and tempo to his delivery and threw from a ¾ arm slot. Clean arm action. Fastball: Fastball was 79-81 mph with decent life through the zone. Fastball Spin Rate: 1920-2010 Curveball: Breaking ball was 67-71 mph with slider shape and spin. Came out on fastball plane and showed good bite. Curveball Spin Rate: 2160-2230 Changeup: Changeup was 71-73 mph. Pitchability: Overall good feel for his pitch mix. Slider showed potential to develop into a true swing and miss pitch. Good athleticism points to a potential velo spike once he taps into his strength more.
2/9/20 Position Player Hit:Swings it from the right side. Very efficient load followed by a downhill path. Tools standout in swing with strength playing loudset. All fields approach. Solid round. Power:Gap abilities. Offensive Projection:Run producer ceiling. Field: Solid defender behind the plate. Showed the ability to block/receive in bullpens and popped in the 1.94-2.09 range. Throw: Ball jumps out of hand. 76 mph strength to second base. Defensive Projection: C.
11/10/18 Young prospect with physical frame for class. Right-hander that works with an uptempo pace to a delivery that doesn’t require a ton of effort. Arm action is long back through a high-¾ slot. Ball comes out well with fastball working downhill at 77-79 mph. Looks to have a two seam as well that will drop a bit in velo but what it loses in velocity is more than made up for in movement. Both secondary offerings show potential. Offers more present feel for the changeup that was consistently in the zone at 69-72 mph. The pitch has consistent dive before entering the zone. Spins the breaking ball well, giving it late action on an 11/5 plane. Not a ton of action but the depth looks to be enough to create inconsistent barrel contact. Two-way prospect. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Shows a leg lift timing trigger as hands stay quiet through load and into launch. Slightly uphill path with some barrel lag in there. Strength is a bit ahead of speed with hands presently. Line drive guy who can get into it when he finds plane. Behind the dish he showed catch/throw abilities on par for class. Starts in a high crouch before showing solid direction with feet to second. Arm action fits the position and throws were on target for the most part. 60-yard dash: 7.85 Pop Times: 2.12-2.16 Catcher Velocity: 72 Exit Velocity: 82
