6/7/16 5-foot-10, 175-pound, athletic frame. A fast twitch athlete that has more batspeed than his 87 mph exit velocity would indicate. Does a nice job incorporating his lower half through a knee pinch load and short stride. Hands remain fluid until getting to the baseball on a downhill path. Would like to see him the bat in the zone longer as he tends to get in and out quickly. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Very quick feet in the infield. Moves well laterally and glove skills stay on the move. Above average arm across the infield as he threw with 81 mph arm strength. Has the athleticism and hands to play either middle position.
6/8/15 5-foot-10, 168-pound thinner, athletic frame. From the infield he shows good, athletic footwork approaching ground balls, while moving well laterally and covering ground. He fields the ball out front with his soft hands and then brings them into his body. Has a good short, quick release type arm action coming from a ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 79 mph on his throws across the infield. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced stance. He uses a slight weight shift with his lower half to his back leg before he swings. He uses a short stride with a very slight hands back load. Mostly flat bat path through the zone and finishes with a one-handed follow through. He showed quickness in his hands during his round of batting practice and reached a top exit velocity of 84 mph on his swing. He ran a 7.22 60-yard dash that should only get better over time.
