Athletic swing from the left side. Above average tools inside an aggressive stroke. Turn in burn type BP with quality jump off the barrel and deep flight into the gaps. Top EV 92mph. With his athleticism/burst off the barrel he’s a guy who could profile in several spots in the lineup. Same could be said about his profile defensively. Ball skills are there and the speed translates to game.
Connor Gromen: OF, (2022) Saint Ignatius, OH. 6-foot-2, 195-pound. Solid at the plate, Gromen clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. Starts in a tall open stance with a controlled small load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is quick, and has level finish. Barreled up some balls throughout the round. Pull side approach. His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 76 mph. Showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.85.
Connor Gromen: OF/3B, (2022) Saint Ignatius, OH. 6-foot-2, 195-pound physical frame. During batting practice, Gromen's best exit velocity was 91 mph. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is quick, shows an upward swing plane and high finish. Athletic his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 79 mph; has soft hands, athletic feet, and a twitchy exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a long arm action. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.63 60-yard dash.
Hit: Solid round. Vertical barrel launch with some looseness through the zone. Physicality is there and bat speed is an above average tool. Pull side approach in BP.
Power: Gap abilities. Natural tools are above average for class.
Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling.
Max BP Exit Velocity: 90mph.
Max BP Distance: 347ft.
Field: Works with good tempo in the outfield. Ball skills are ahead of the curve for class. Solid defender.
Throw: Clean arm with present accuracy and serviceable strength.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
2/2/20 Position Player
Hit:Lefty swinger with a loose, whippy stroke that has some authority. Aggressive swinger that has feel for the barrel. Impressive round. Ball jumped off bat.
Power: Easy gap pop with potential for more.
Offensive Projection: Run producer.
Field: Plays under control throughout sequence in the outfield. Ball skills are serviceable.
Throw: Over the top right with respectable strength and more to come.
Defensive Projection:Corner OF.

Body Type: 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame with room to add.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Works exclusively from the stretch. ¾ right-hander that doesn’t have a ton of effort to delivery.
Fastball: Mostly true through the zone with slight arm side action at times. At 71-74 mph.
Changeup: Similar arm speed to fastball. Pitch stays mostly true through the zone. At 64-67 mph.
Pitchability: Filled the zone up with both.
Additional Comments: Also took BP showing, a compact stroke with feel for the barrel. Spray hitter that can use the entire yard. 78 mph exit velocity with a table setter look to him.
