2/9/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Hartman uses a high leg kick and a methodical tempo and rhythm as he moves down the mound. He throws from a ¾ arm slot and has a fairly clean arm action. Doesn’t seem to presently get much out of his lower half but the arm works. Fastball: The fastball was 79-81 mph and mostly true through the zone. Curveball: His breaking ball was 65-67 mph and showed curveball shape and spin. Changeup: The changeup was 64-65 mph. Pitchability: Pretty good feel for his stuff. Shows good arm speed on all pitches. Will benefit from adding strength in his lower half to make his delivery a bit more dynamic. 2/9/20 Position Player Hit: Hartman used a mini leg kick to initiate his load and struggled at times with getting his front foot down on time. He showed decent bat to ball ability with a slightly uphill approach at times. Power: 82 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Should be able to develop into a gap to gap guy at the high school level. Ball skills are there and he maintains rhythm for the most part through sequence. Throw: Arm is an above average tool and projects for much more strength down the road.
