2/09/19

Body Type: 5-foot-9 165 pounds. Athletic, lean frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws out of a ¾ arm slot with smooth arm action through release. Motion flows at a great tempo. Keeps weight on back leg well then gets downhill with force.
Fastball: 79-83 mph. Balls jumps out of hand with nice arm-side run. Threw for strikes and lived at the knees.
Curveball: 61-64 mph. Slower breaker with playable movement at 1-7. Average command.
Changeup: 65-68 mph. Showed glove-side run without much depth. Locates it well.
Pitchability: Slows arm action down on off-speed pitches. Can improve movement/effectiveness of pitches as he mimics his arm speed on fastballs. Has more room to add to his frame so expect this lefty to continue to progress as he gets stronger. Ceiling is high for him.
Role: Starter/long relief.

7/02/18

Millhime has a small, thin build. Good tempo on the mound with fluid delivery.  On the mound he throws a 76-79 mph Fastball that comes out of his hand well as arm moves through a high-¾ slot. His Curveball  has 1/7 shape to it and is thrown at 63-67 mph. He shows signs of commanding the zone but is unable to repeat the same delivery every time due to his lower half flying open causing his arm to drag behind. If Millhime can fix that, he will see an increase in velo and command as he matures.
