A right handed pitching prospect, Hopewell throws from a ¾ arm slot and creates good leverage and downward tilt on his pitches. He is a tall, big framed RHP with plenty of potential to continue to fill out his frame and long levers. He used his length well to generate a pretty true through the zone 82-85 mph fastball. He also showed a serviceable 71-75 mph breaking ball with slurvey shape, but his best breaking balls did flash some bite and the potential of becoming an above average offering.
