7/26/23
If there's a more explosive bat in the 2028 class we haven't seen it. Loose, athletic swing with real bat speed and natural whip. Low 70s bat speed with 98mph top end EV. Hard to believe you're watching a '28.

Carter Shouse: OF/LHP, (2028) N/A, OH. 5-foot-10, 165-pound. (65.3 mph bat speed average). (20.7 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced strong stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is above average, has a level swing plane and balanced finish. Found lots of barrels through his rounds. Gap to gap approach. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 82 mph. From the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 83 mph. Recorded a 60 time of 7.35 at the event. Projectable athletic on the mound, showed above average arm speed, he had a short quick arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows easy effort. Displays downhill shoulders and a tall balance point. Lands square with a falling off clean finish. (Max spin 2139; Avg 1988).
7/26/22
Quiet approach mechanically, leading to a balanced launch prior to a level path to contact. Path offers a balanced combination of strength and speed to swing. Pull side approach in BP, while showing oppo capabilities. Solid round. As a defender he is functionally athletic, has fluid actions, and ball skills that are advanced for class.
