Body Type: 5-foot-10, 150 pounds. Athletic with room to add.
Swing Mechanics: Hits from a narrow to balanced stance in the box. Shows an uphill bat path with progressing ability to generate energy from lower half.
Hit: Nice contact overall showing more solid hits towards the opposite field.
Power: 73 mph exit velocity. More left in that bat.
Offensive Projection: TBD for now.
Run: 7.61 seconds 60-yard. Field: Glovework was presented well as he worked the baseball. Footwork is playable now and developing further. Actions overall played nicely.
Throw: 63 mph across the diamond. Defensive Projection: Second base.
2/17/19 Pitching Body Type: 5-foot-10, 150-pound athletic frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: High-¾ right-hander with a mostly clean arm. Arm speed is developing. Delivery requires some effort. Fastball: 66-69 mph.Mostly true through the zone. Worked both sides of the plate with the offering. Curveball: 56-58 mph. 11/5 shaped, gradually breaking curveball that showed developing sharpness. Looked comfortable with the offering.
Slider: 62-63 mph. A bit flatter shape than the breaker with more depth to it. Not a big breaker but more than enough action to cause inconsistent barrel strike. His best secondary offering. Pitchability: Well above average for class. Showed the ability to locate all three.
1/21/18 In the infield he plays fast while remaining athletic. Feet work well and he does a nice job of staying low through fielding. Displayed above average glove skills inside funnel and on the move. Solid defender. A right-handed hitter that starts in an open stance. Goes with a leg kick to initiate lower half. Barrel flows through a bat tip movement into launch. Displayed feel for the barrel, especially to opposite field gap. Best days are ahead of him at the plate as he adds strength to go with his efficient swing. On the mound he has fluidity to his lower effort delivery. Transitions nicely from his high leg lift into his drop and drive load. Arm looks relatively clean, generating average strength/arm speed for class. Fastball comes thorugh a high-¾ slot sitting 64-66 mph. Complements his fastball with a big breaking, 11/5 shaped curveball at 54-55 mph. 60-Yard Dash: 7.69 Infield Velocity: 57 Exit Velocity: 71
