Also showed feel for a breaking ball that had good depth with tight action. Completing his repertoire is a changeup that is tossed with good sell and displays a late dip to it. High follow in class. Body Type: 6-foot-2, 145-pound narrow frame Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Southpaw with a regular tempo delivery and some effort. Throws from a ¾ arm slot. Long loose arm with a whip like action. Tall and fall type delivery. Added velocity to come as he fills out.
Fastball: 69-73 mph. Comes in downhill. Primary offering has natural glove side movement. Curveball: 61-67 mph. 1-6 movement with gradual break. Confident throwing his breaking ball to both sides of the plate. Pitchability: A little sporadic around the zone. Should be more consistent if he can trust his fastball on the inner half. Curveball was around the zone occasionally missing up.
7/10/18 The 5-foot-11, 142-pound left handed pitching prospect will be an interesting follow with physical maturation into his frame. The lanky build with extremely long limbs projects well down the road. Delivery requires more than regular effort with a slight inward turn at the top of the leg lift. Uses a slight bounce that sometimes becomes almost a jump toward home as a way to incorporate the lower half. Arm works through a high ¾ slot with good extension out front. Fastball shows some natural run on 2 seam while working between 70-73 mph. Changeup has arm side fade at 58-59 mph. Curveball is spun with gradual break in a 1/7 action. One of the higher upsides moving forward a very projectable arm. Two-way prospect. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Goes with a leg kick for timing as hands show a back load with barrel moving to a vertical launch position. Path is level with easy, natural barrel whip through the zone. Line drive type guy with developing natural tools. Moves off the bag well at first base. Above average athleticism for the spot, covering more ground than most over there. Ball skills are developing. 60-yard dash: 8.55 Infield Velocity: 73 Outfield Velocity: 70 Exit Velocity: 71
3/4/17 5-foot-11, 142 pound left handed pitching prospect with a tall, slender build throws with shorter arm action out of a ¾ arm slot. Average mechanically.
