Comments

7/24/19

Body Type:  5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic frame.
Hit: Balanced launch with a nice, level path to contact. Lower effort swing that shows feel for contact. Stays inside the baseball well, working the middle of the field in BP.
Power: Line drive pop. 86 was top exit velocity in BP.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Field: At the catcher position he has quick feet with a smooth transfer.
Throw: Has developing arm strength and a short and compact arm slot.
Defensive Projection: C.

7/09/19

Body Type:  5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics:  Small leg kick with a bat tip that gets everything in sync well.
Hit:  Level bat path with a pull side approach.  Good feel in the box.  Works inside the baseball, and creates backspin to the middle part of the field.
Power: Line drive guy with gap abilities. 84.3 mph off the bat in BP.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles. Has a nice combination of strength/speed through the zone.
Field: In the outfield he plays with an uptempo pace. Athleticism shows out there. Ball skills are on par for class and he maintains rhythm throughout.
Throw: Big arm. Arm strength stood out amongst the group.
Defensive Projection: Corner Outfield.

6/18/19

Body Type:  5-foot-10, 160-pound thin and athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics:  Simple load with little movement.  Engages his entire body.
Hit:  Downhill bat path with a backside approach.  Produces natural loft in swing.
Power:  Line drive guy with more to come.  Just needs to develop and add size.
Offensive Projection:  TBD.
Field: In the outfield he plays with athletic, fluid feet. Well coached with smooth actions. Ball skills are above average for class.
Throw: High-3/4 right-hander with a loose arm that will support added strength.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots. Looks more developed in the outfield.

2/03/19

Body Type: 5-foot-9, 160-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Upright stance with a back load during his knee pinch with lower half.
Hit: Level stroke with intent behind it. Natural tools are above average for class. More pop than frame would suggest. Good athlete with some juice.
Power: 91 mph exit velocity. Ball jumps. Present gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles.
Run: 7.02 60-yard dash.
Field: Athletic kid that attacks the baseball in the outfield. Moves well out there and shows solid ball skills through fielding. Also worked out in the infield. Plays with direct footwork, attacking the baseball off the bat. Ball skills are solid. Good athlete with defensive versatility in general.
Throw: Arm works with average to above average strength presently and more to come.
Defensive Projection: CF/LF/2B.

2/04/18

In the box he starts in an athletic setup from the right side. Goes with a leg kick for timing and maintains barrel rhythm with a bat tip movement. Path shows natural loft, making him a candidate to be an extra base hit threat as strength to his already quick bat. Can get around the baseball times. Very good when barrel accelerated to the middle of the field. A middle infielder with soft hands and a reliable glove. Footwork has small room for improvements as he can get flat footed at times. Arm is very loose with with to it. Expect more velocity with physical maturity.

60-yard dash: 6.90
Infield Velocity: 77
Exit Velocity: 72
