Hit: Loud round. Physical dude that doesn't get cheated up there. Electric stroke with some of the fastest rotational acceleration we saw at 31gs with 77mph+bat speed. Also showed the ability to find the barrel often. 95+ off the bat the entire round up to 101mph. Runs the gap with ease and left the yard in BP. Power: Loft power to pull. Offensive Projection: Run producer. Max BP Exit Velocity: 101 mph Max BP Distance: 377 ft Field: Moves well in the infield, has some bounce to his step and feel for his actions. Ideal left side of the infield skill set. Solid defender. Throw: Ball jumps, above average strength. Defensive Projection: Left side of infield.
6/25/19
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect who is put together physically. Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance with quiet hands during his leg kick timing trigger. Hit: Physical kid that stays inside the baseball well. Sprayed line drive after line drive to the opposite gap. All the tools to hit in the middle of a lineup. Power: 87.5 off the bat in BP. Gap abilities. Offensive Projection: Run Producer. Field: Looks the part in the infield. Well timed feet, allowing him to maintain rhythm throughout process/remain soft with hands. Corner frame with middle hands. Solid defender. Throw: Clean arm with well above average strength. Defensive Projection: Left side of infield.| Additional Comments: A lot to like. Big, physical kid that moves well, can swing it and has arm strength that will either play on the mound, left side of the infield or both.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Higher leg kick from the windup with a slide step from the stretch. Utilizes the lower half well. Natural on time arm action with an all around smooth delivery. Fastball: 80-82mph. Slight arm side movement with a lot of life to it. Thrown in the zone most of the time. Curveball: 69-70mph. 12/6 movement with sharp bite. Above average pitch. Consistently thrown in the zone. Changeup: 73-74mph. Slight arm side drift. Consistently thrown in the zone. Pitchability: High pitch ability with three pitches thrown consistently in the zone.

On the mound the right-hander has fluidity to a delivery that requires regular effort. Rolls through a chest high leg lift into a drop and drive load. Creates good energy down the mound. Shows obvious arm strength through a high-¾ slot. Fastball jumps out of hand at 79-83 mph. Spun one one of the better breakers we saw on the day at 70-71 mph. The pitch has good depth with sharp, heavy action on an 11/5 plane. Also offers a playable changeup at 73-75 mph. Promising arm in the 2021 class. On the infield plays light on his feet with above average footwork. Moves well forward attacking the baseball. Glovework is on par while transfer is clean with arm strength present to stay on the left side of the infield moving forward. Long, loose arm through a high ¾ slot. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced, athletic stance. Simple load with a balanced launch. Path is nice and level with both strength and speed to hands. Ball comes off well. Line drive type hitter with feel to the opposite field gap. Definite young bat to follow that takes a loud BP.
A 6-foot-1, 165-pound prospect. Offensively, he is a right-handed bat that starts in a tall, open setup. Mechanically simple, using a slight back load during his leg kick. Path is level with noticeable barrel whip. Strong kid with well above average bat speed. Ball jumps off his bat, showing present gap pop with power to come. Behind the plate he starts in a mid crouch. Got out of his crouch early in defensive evaluation. Footwork is quick and sound. Exchange skills are biggest opportunity for improvement.
