Hit: Upright etup from the right side. Uses a leg kick timing trigger during bat tip up top. Athletic movements to sequence. All fields approach with the ability to generate natural lift. Power: Gap abilities. Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling. Field: Very solid defender over at first base. Looks comfortable/well versed at the position. Also showed impressive lateral mobility/feel for creating throwing lanes on double play balls. Throw: More than enough strength for the position. Defensive Projection: 1B.
Delivery/Scouting Notes: Uptempo delivery from the physical right-hander. Throws with intent and creates solid energy with lower half. Arm is compact and clean through a near over the top slot. Fastball: Developing velocity that should have more in the tank. Putch already shows heavy action to both sides of the plate with regular dip. Breaking Ball: Tight offering with slurvish action. Showed a feel for it. Changeup: Very similar action to fastball. Good sell with consistent arm speed. Pitchability: Strike thrower.

Ran an 8.42 60-yard dash. In the infield he moves light on his feet, taking direct routes to the baseball. Hands are soft and glove looks to be an above average tool for class. Arm should progress to play on the left side. Lateral mobility would be area for improvement. Threw across the diamond with 68 mph arm strength. A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller setup. Uses a controlled stride for timing while barrel moves fluidly through his bat tip movement. Strength stands out at contact and bat speed isn’t far behind. Showed the ability to go the other way or turn on the baseball. Natural tools are well above average for class. A run producer type bat. Top exit velocity was 84 mph. On the bump the right-hander works at a slower tempo with a clean delivery. Uses a short arm action through a ¾ slot. Fastball shows cutting action at 69-71 mph. Offers two secondary pitches. A 12/6 curveball that has gradual break at 59-61 mph and a changeup at 66-67 mph with late cut.
11/18/17 On the mound the right handed pitcher throws displays some quickness in arm speed. Uses a near over the top slot with short arm action. Average frame. Fastball displays some arm-side run at 69-71 mph. Shows good feel for his sharp 11/5 curveball, sits between 59-60 mph. Changeup displays some fading action at 63-65 mph. A two-way prospect. Swings it from the right side. Loading sequence is fluid and repeatable. Natural tools stand out in swing as both strength and batspeed are above average tools for class. Takes a slightly downhill path to the baseball and swings with intent. Ball jumped off his bat when he found the barrel. Would like to see him level out swing a bit to let his impressive natural tools show more often. Ran a 5.21 from home to first and topped out at 76 mph off the tee. In the infield he made one of the better plays of the day to his backhand side. Feet work well and he had fluidity to his actions. Hands are soft and he showed confidence in his glove. Threw across the infield with 69 mph arm strength.
