3B/SS, (2023) Dublin Jerome, OH. 6-foot-2, 225-pound mature physical frame. Solid at the plate, Lockwood had an exit velocity of 94 mph. (68.2 mph bat speed average). (20.4 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced strong stance with a controlled compact load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is quick and exhibits a loose level swing plane. Found multiple barrels during his rounds. Line drive aggressive approach. Smooth solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 83 mph; showed soft consistent hands, a packing exchange, and athletic fluid feet. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Had a high ¾ slot with a compact arm action. Recorded a 60 time of 7.22 at the event.
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Utilizes a double tap timing trigger as hands stay quiet throughout the loading sequence. Level path with rotational swing sequence. Strength and bat speed are above average tools for class. Impressive jump at times.
Power:Flashed gap abilities and got into a few to pull side.
Offensive Projection:Middle ceiling.
Field:Moved well over at third base. Controlled tempo with fluid actions. Plays low throughout sequence. Ball skills appear to be ahead of the curve for class.
