7/17/18 The 6-foot-2, 170-pound tall right arm with room to develop physically. Works exclusively from the stretch with a very effortless delivery. Does get some late torso rotation getting off his backside with aggressive.Shows signs to make a velo jump in the near future. Works through a near high ¾ slot. Fastball shows some life through the zone with occasional sink at 81-84 mph. Produced more swing and misses than we have seen in the past. Slider shows good bite on a 10/4 plane at 72-74 mph. Mixes in a cutter that is a playable pitch at 76-77 mph. Likes to work off that pitch with a good feel.
7/11/18 Palmer is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound prospect that has good arm speed. He throws an explosive fastball at 81-84 mph with minimal lower body help. His curveball is hard and breaks on a 10/4 plane at 69-72 mph. He also throws a 73-75 mph changeup that he is still developing a feel for. Palmer will be a guy to look out for as he continues maturing.
6/20/18 Palmer finds himself on the top performers list for a second straight event. The right-hander impressed in Cincinnati but was even sharper on this day. Starter frame/skill set with a loose arm and super easy 83-85 mph fastball. Also tosses a quality breaking ball and his cutter has a near slider look at 77-79 mph. A newer name to college coaches that is a scholarship level arm talent.
5/29/18 One of the more interesting arms of the day. 6-foot-2, 170-pound athletic frame with a super low effort delivery. Looks like he is tossing BP effort wise at 79-82 mph. Needs to be in the zone more often but wouldn’t be shocked if he’s consistently in the mid 80s by next spring. Spins a tight slider and showed developing feel for the changeup. Made the Top Performers list
