A southpaw on the bump with a fluid delivery. Uses a high leg lift prior to getting into load. Arm is loose and relatively clean through a high-¾ slot. Palmer will cut his fastball that sat 76-69 mph. Should have more velocity in there as he adds strength. Slider shows more spin than break at 70-72 mph. Also looks to be playing around with a 72-74 mph changeup.

Starts in an open setup at the plate. Stays fluid throughout his loading sequence. A back leg hitter that takes an uphill path to the baseball. Hands stay loose creating solid whip through contact. Handles the low pitch well and showed more pop to his pull side. Would like to see him transfer more weight into contact to flatten out path. At first base he moves well laterally but needs to play lower off the bag. Glove skills are adequate and he showed feel for the position. On the mound, the young 2020 southpaw uses good tempo with clear signs of a repeatable delivery. Arm works through a ¾ slot with short arm action. His 73-74 mph fastball features some comeback type movement on the plate. Curveball he offers shows slurvy-like movement on a 2/8 plane with some added depth; pitch sits 57-59 mph. Also mixes in a 66-67 mph changeup thrown with near fastball arm speed.
