Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Body Type: 6-foot-1 170-pound prospect with an athletic, projectable build and frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Threw from a ¾ arm slot with a naturally quick arm. Had somewhat stiff and rigid movements throughout his delivery. Fastball: 80-83 mph fastball showed some arm side run and life. Curveball: 63-64 mph breaking ball showed curveball shape and spin. Decent spin on the pitch created some natural depth on the curveball. Changeup: 72-74 mph changeup was mostly true through the zone with minimal action. Pitchability: Decent feel for his three pitch mix. Commanded the fastball well to both sides of the plate. Role: Shows the present ability to start at the high school level. If he wants to start at the next level the quality of the secondary offerings would need to improve, along with a bump in velocity.
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 170 pounds. Athletic, physical build. Swing Mechanics: Taller closed stance prior to getting loaded and attacking the ball. Produces some quicker hands with an uphill bat path.
Hit: Made nice contact overall throughout his round turning on several balls displaying power output. Power: 90 mph exit velocity. Pull-side pop more so right now with some middle of the field life. Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Run: 4.57 seconds home to first. Field: Presented nice hands with his glovework in the infield. Moves well too laterally working the angles to the ball.Transfer and release can improve in quickness on throws to first which will only add to arm strength. Throw: 78 mph across the diamond. Defensive Projection: Middle infield potential.

A two-way prospect. On the mound he uses a slower paced tempo that will pick up at balanced point. Arm is clean and compact through a near high-¾ slot. Ball comes out well with fastball sitting 80-82 mph. The pitch will show slight cutting action at times. Breaking ball is tight with enough action to be effective on an 11/5 plane. Tossed the offering in the zone regularly at 60-64 mph. In the infield he plays with quiet feet and plays low through the baseball. Tends to field from heels at times. Transitions well through fielding, gaining ground during transfer. A righty bat that doesn’t get cheated at the plate. Hands stay simple prior to launching the bat through the zone with natural loft to his path. Swings with intent to do damage and showed gap abilities to his pull side. Mechanically, he has room to polish up but natural tools look to be above average through the zone.

2/1/17 A thin frame at 5-foot-10, 150-pounds. Uses a slower tempo on the mound to a delivery he is able to repeat. Delivery requires little effort and he works through a high-¾ slot. Arm action is shorter with some looseness to it. Fastball had slight cut to it at times, coming in at 73-75 mph. Spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with some sharpness to it. The pitch had two planes to it at times coming in at 59-61 mph. Was consistently in the zone with both offerings. At the plate he starts in an athletic setup prior to his short stride. Barrel gets on plane early and takes mostly level path to the ball. Creates a mechanical advantage with upper half creating whip and a large margin of error in timing. Consistently showed the ability to produce backspin on his line drives. An infielder that showed smooth, fluid actions. Glove skills remain on the move and he gets rid of the ball quickly.
