Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Body Type: Good pitchers frame at 6-foot-2,180-pound with room to project physically. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Slower tempo delivery requiring normal effort. Height and extension play into some downhill plane working through a high ¾ slot. Fastball: Occasional sink to arm side ranging from 83-86 mph. 1900-2100 rpm with upper 90s efficiency.
Curveball: Potential to be a wipeout pitch being quite tempting even when not in the zone. 11/5 with sharp bite at 69-72 mph. Comparable spin to the fastball helping to make it difficult to recognize. Changeup: Maintains fastball arm speed with slight fade that could potentially miss bats sat Pitchability: Shows signs of high pitchability guy with ability to move the fastball at will and two good offspeed offerings. Additional Comments: There’s a lot to like here. Frame, velo and breaking ball that has swing and miss to it. Bloodlines are there as well, brother is an arm for West Virginia University.

Body Type: 6-foot-2, 180 pounds with a long, projectable frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws through a high 3/4 slot with long arm action. Height and delivery allows him to work downhill. Fastball: 80-83 mph while showing plenty of natural arm-side run. Curveball: Slows delivery down slightly as the pitch sits between 66-69 mph. Pitch does offer some good left to right break and depth. Changeup: Pitch sits between 70-72 mph while offering fading action as it approaches the plate.

Body Type: 6-foot-2, 180 pounds with a long, projectable frame. Swing Mechanics: At the plate he shows a medium, balanced stance. Shows minimal upper body load and his short to the ball with a flat bat path. Hit: Good line drive ability to the middle of the field. Power: 78 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Shows the ability to control his barrel and spray line drives around the diamond. Shows a good size frame that would make you hope that he develops into more of a gap to gap guy as he matures. Field: In the outfield he plays through the ball well but could improve how he attacks the ball. Release could quicken up but throws showed good carry. Run: 7.12 60 yard dash. Throw: 85 mph from the outfield. Defensive Projection: Shows the ability to play both corner OF spots with adequate arm strength for RF. Could be a guy who eventually shows enough to fill in at all three outfield spots at the next level.
