8/12/18
A righty swinger that starts in a balanced stance. Physical bat with loud natural tools. Bat is fast too and authoritative through. Intent driven stroke that generates easy gap pop with power to pull side. Can pull off the baseball at times but BP was loud when he stayed through contact. Liked what I saw in game from him behind the dish. Physical presence back there with the willingness to block. Offers an above average skill set receiving wise. Pop times will improve as arm strength does.

2/4/18

6-foot, 172-pound catching prospect showed above average receiving ability along with efficient, quick footwork. His transfer was smooth which lead to his solid pop time at 1.93-2.03. Good arm strength with top velocity of 80 mph on the bag. Stood out as one of the top catchers at the event. From the right side of the box, Goodyear swings from a wide base. Produces a longer, level bath path backed with good pop. He gets through the ball well with good extension and his lower half leads the way with good energy. Created a 90 mph exit velocity. Impressive strength and solid contact with his bat throughout his round.

9/24/17

Really like what I saw from Goodyear. Stood out with his strength/bat speed combination at the plate. Pre-launch movements are fluid and efficient. Does a really good job of getting on plane and creating early barrel acceleration. Displayed the ability to drive the ball with authority to all fields. In game he reads spin well and has solid strike zone awareness. Skill set plays in the middle of a lineup. Frame fits the catcher position. Exchange skills are there and footwork is quick. Arm is an average tool. Received well in game. Limited viewing on blocking capabilities but he got the job done in the few opportunities he had. A definite prospect to follow over the next few years.

6/20/17
A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Bat moves back to his shoulder during his forward movement. Path is level to slightly downhill. Has some bat speed in there and stays through contact well. Gets on plane early and uses the whole field. Top of the lineup guy that flashed gap to gap juice. Laced a double off the left-field wall in game play. Behind the plate he starts in a mid crouch. Footwork and transfer are both mechanically sound but have room to speed up. Arm action is ideal for the position.

6/14/17
A right-handed hitter that starts in a crouched setup. Lower half is relatively simple, using a small leg lift for timing. Creates most of his energy from his upper half. Creates a solid stretch through his scap load and gets from launch to contact very quickly. Strong kid that has a level path. Middle of the lineup type skill set. Behind the plate he starts in a mid crouch. Showed some athleticism as he gets out of his stance. Exchange was mostly clean before release. Throws showed some carry and were mostly on target.

2/19/17
5-foot-11, 168-pound prospect. Behind the dish, he starts with his weight back on his heels. Feet start shoulder width apart. Takes jab step forward. Has some length with glove to hand exchange. Short arm action through high ¾ slot. Pop times ranged between 2.22 to 2.35. Offensively, he brings above average natural tools to the table. Creates efficient energy with his lower half while taking his hands to launch. Path is mostly level with above average bat speed. Ball came off his bat well when he found the barrel and he was at his best when he stayed inside the baseball.

60 Yard Dash: 7.57
Position Velocity: 73
Pop Time: 2.22-2.35
Exit Velocity: 81
