6/27/18 Two-way prospect. Works with a slower paced tempo on the bump. Creates good direction down the mound landing on line and finishing towards home plate. Long, slinging arm action through a high-¾ slot. Tosses an easy, 67-72 mph fastball with some slight cut to it. Breaking ball isn’t a big breaker but has enough depth and action to miss barrels at 64-65 mph. Changeup was one of the better ones we saw on the day. Maintains arm speed to the offering that has late sink and action to both sides of the plate. Worked out behind the dish and in the infield, showing an above average skill set at both. Feet work well behind the dish. Actions are fluid and efficient. Exchange skills are above average for class. Put the ball on the bag regularly in workout. At third base he shows the frame for the spot with above average athleticism and ball skills. Looks athletic and comfortable over there. Likely continues to play both spots. A righty swinger that starts in a tall stance. Simple load followed by a level path to contact. Handsy hitter with a bit more strength than speed to stroke with some barrel whip in there. Throws with an ideal catcher’s arm action and recorded pop times between 2.27-2.35, reaching a top velocity of 61 mph. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly closed stance. Has a short, fluid load with his hands moving to his back shoulder and finishes his swing with a two-handed follow through. Showed the ability to use the whole field during his round of batting practice while reaching a top exit velocity of 65 mph and ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. On the mound he has a slower paced windup, using a straight up and down leg lift and lands in a straight line at foot strike. Uses minimal effort and finishes in good direction with his momentum carrying toward home plate. Throws with a clean arm action, using average arm speed through a ¾ slot. His fastball shows arm-side run at times between 68-70 mph. His curveball has gradual, tight sink on an 11/5 plane between 60-63 mph.
