Body Type: 5-foot-10 125-pound prospect with a thin frame and room to add strength and size.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Threw from a ¾ arm slot with smooth movements throughout his delivery.
Fastball: 66-70 mph fastball was mostly true through the zone but commanded it well to both sides of the plate.
Changeup: 63-64 mph changeup was mostly true through the zone.
Pitchability: Good command of both his fastball and changeup to both sides of the plate.
Role: Probably more of a bullpen type presently being a two pitch guy without plus velocity or breaking ball.
1/21/19 Body Type: 5-foot-10 125-pound prospect with a thin frame and room to add strength and size.
Swing Mechanics: Tall, slightly open setup from the right side. Uses a double tap for timing with quiet hands in load.
Hit: Compact, easy stroke on a downhill path. Stays inside the baseball well, generating a ton of line drives to the middle of the field. Swing offers more present quickness than thump through the zone.
Power: 68 mph exit velocity. Much more to come as he adds strength with maturity.
Offensive Projection: Top of the Lineup.
Run: 7.78 60-yard dash.
Field: Quiet actions in the infield with smooth feet. Plays through the baseball with above average ball skills.
Throw: 67 mph arm strength across the infield. Shorter arm action through a high-¾ slot. Accurate thrower.
Defensive Projection: MIF.
1/15/18
Ran a 8.02 60-yard dash. In the infield he plays low and under control. Moves light on his feet and reacts well off the bat. Hands are soft and glove skills are ahead of the curve for class. Not a flashy defender but sure-handed, getting the job done. Showed off 63 mph arm strength across the diamond. A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Lower half is aggressive and creates energy when he shifts into contact. Has a tendency to get to front side before swing decision at times. Hands are quiet prior to swing decision. Barrel has some whip while traveling on a slightly downhill path to the baseball. A contact type guy at this stage. Reached a top exit velocity of 70 mph. On the bump- A right-handed pitcher prospect with room to add strength to his 105-pound frame. Works into a chest high lift with a slight pause before moving down the mound. Shows good direction towards the plates finishing slightly closed at foot contact. Uses a short arm action through a ¾ slot. Only offered two pitches on this day, a fastball that shows slight arm side run at 65-68 mph and an 11/5 breaking ball at 58-59 mph with gradual break.
