Billy Cornett: SS/RHP, (2022) Medina, OH. 6-foot, 170-pound. In the box, Cornett recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph. Begins in a quiet tall stance with a small load, then uses a small leg kick. Had efficient bat speed, loose level swing plane and balanced finish. Solid in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 68 mph; had a natural exchange, soft hands, and consistent footwork. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, showing some arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Sat with his fastball at 81-84 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1924; Avg 1879). His 11/5 curveball (62-66) had slurvey action. (Max spin 2129; Avg 2104). He had slight fading action on his changeup (68-71). Ran a 4.30 30 yard dash.
