A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Scouting Notes:Obvious projectability on the mound. Currently will run the fastball up around 80 but should have more in the tank as he continues to add strength. Spins a big shaped breaking ball that pops out of the hand. Looks comfortable with the offering and he tosses a heavy dose of them. Fastball:76-78 mph. Works downhill, could easily see more in the tank. Fastball Spin Rate:1716-1745 Curveball:66-67 mph. Playable, some sharpness to it with good depth. Curveball Spin Rate:1592-1738
6/23/20
Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Quiet mover in the box. Nice, loose stroke that gets through contact with authority. Stays inside the baseball nicely, showing the ability to square the baseball up frequently. Laced line drive to each gap in BP. Power:Gap pop. Much more to come as he fills out athletic/projectable frame. Offensive Projection: Run producer. Max BP Exit:86 mph Max BP Distance:233 ft Field:Solid showing in the outfield. Moves well with above average ball skills. Throw:More than serviceable strength with more to come. Present accuracy. Defensive Projection:Multiple Spots.
2/23/20
2/23/20 Position Player Hit:Right handed hitter. Starts with an athletic, balanced setup in the box. Has an uptempo loading sequence, with present quickness to hands and a slightly downhill bat path. Power: 79 mph tee ev. Line drive pop. Offensive Projection: Table setter. Field: Worked out as an OF. Mechanically sound with apparent athleticism. Also displays solid footwork when approaching the batted ball, to go along with soft hands and a clean transfer. Throw: 83 mph arm from the OF. Solid arm strength. Defensive Projection: OF
2/23/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Right handed pitcher. Delivery is fluid with a more uptempo pace to begin, then progressively develops a slower pace as he begins to deliver the pitch. Has a long arm action from a ¾ arm slot. Fastball: 80-81 mph. Fastball displays regular arm side action. Velocity will continue to develop as he continues to add to his frame. Breaking Ball: 69-70mph. Tight power spin with slurvish break. Changeup: 75-76 mph. Was able to maintain arm speed with fade and sink action.
2/16/18
6-foot-1, 145 pound tall, lanky pitching prospect displayed a longer arm action out of a ¾ arm slot. Delivery is a slower tempo and mechanics worked nicely with rhythm. Also finishes strong after release. Balizet’s fastball was 70-73 mph. Curveball was 62-65 mph with great movement and solid command. Changeup is developing at 67-68mph. A high upside bat from the right side. Already shows well above average juice for class with much more to come as he adds strength to his very projectable frame. Finds plane well with present strength through the zone and developing bat speed. Ball comes off well generating gap pop. A bat to follow with run producer traits at an early age. A solid defender in the outfield with athletic, efficient footwork. Mechanically sound in general with above average ball skills through fielding. Arm also plays as an above average tool for class.
