6-foot-1, 175-pound athletic, projectable body frame. At first base he has athletic footwork around the bag and moves well laterally covering good ground at the position reaching a velocity of 74 mph. In the outfield he has fluid footwork while taking good routes to the baseball transitioning into a shuffle before he throws with a clean arm action through a high ¾ slot reaching a velocity of 75 mph. Right-handed hitter who has good bat speed to work with. Starts his swing from a slightly open stance landing even at foot strike. Has a fluid load with his hands moving past his back shoulder, swinging with a mostly level bat path through the zone and finishes with a two-handed follow through. 2/17/20 Position Player Hit: Swings it from the right side, moves well in the box. Utilizes a double tap timing trigger during backload to hands. Slightly downhill stroke, all fields approach. Low line drive/ground ball flight for the most part. Power: 82 mph tee exit velocity. Gap abilities with much more to come. Natural tools are balanced. Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling. Field: At first base he brings above average athleticism to the position. Moves well off the bag. Ball skills are above average. Uses a relaxed tempo in the outfield. Ball skills are serviceable. Corner type skill set. Throw: 68 mph across the diamond and 71 mph to home plate. ¾ slot. More strength to come. Defensive Projection: Corner guy.
2/17/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Easy, smooth movements to delivery. Creates solid direction with lower half as arm travels through a ¾ slot. Much like at the plate expect more juice as he fills out that long lever frame. Fastball: 71-72 mph. Regular arm side action. Curveball: 60-62 mph. 11/5 shape, gradual action, developing sharpness. Changeup: 64-66 mph. Maintains arm speed for the most part, similar action to fastball with a bit more sink.
