7/2/18 6-foot-1, 225-pound pitching prospect. He is a big kid and has a large presence on the mound. Volschow throws downhill and registers a Fastball at 77-80 mph with late life. He has good feel for a 10/4 breaking slider that shows late break at 67-70 mph. Also, he throws a CH with late sinking action at 66-68 mph. He will be a good arm to follow as he continues getting stronger. Physical bat from the right side. Path has some natural loft allowing him to lift the ball without sacrificing bat speed. Middle of the lineup type with emerging pull side power. Behind the dish he gets out of his stance with fluidity and direction. Exchange skills are on par for class. Should see easy improvements in pop times as arm strengthens. In the infield he worked out a first base. Moves well off the bag with feel and fluid actions. Ball skills are above average as well. Looks to be able to continue to play both spots. 60-yard dash: 8.31 Pop Times: 2.09-2.21 Catcher Velocity: 69 Infield Velocity: 77 Exit Velocity: 86
