Solid in the outfield, he used momentum and arm strength to record throws up to 88 mph;had sure hands, smooth athletic footwork, and a natural exchange. Had a high ¾ slot with a very quick arm action. Advanced on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action while showing quick arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Has a consistent balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 84-87 mph. Has heavy movement. His 1/7 curveball (69-72) shows swing and miss action and consistent command.

Changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed showing dive to it at 58-60 mph. Completing his arsenal is a near 12/6 breaking ball thrown consistently for a strike at 54-59 mph. Liked what I saw from Pirkle at the plate. Lefty swinger with athletic actions in the box. Loose swing with noticeable whip through the zone with some loft to path. Impressive hand eye/feel for squaring up the baseball. Sprayed line drives all over the field. Very efficient swing with more in there as physical maturation takes its course.
