Aaron Horak: SS/OF, (2022) Little Miami, OH. 6-foot, 180-pound physical frame. During batting practice, Horak had a max exit velocity of 87 mph. Began in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Has average bat speed, an inside-out swing plane and level finish. He barreled up some balls. Pull side approach. Solid his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 81 mph; has a fluid exchange, firm hands, and rhythmic feet. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot.

Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a smoother, athletic load. Movements come together well prior to launch. Efficient path through the zone that allows for all field approach. Consistent backspin in BP. Solid round showing feel for the barrel.
Power:Physical kid with bat speed. Gap abilities.

Offensive Projection:Run producer ceiling.
Field:Good tempo in the outfield. Athletic feet with an uptempo pace throughout. Ball skills appear to be ahead of the curve for class. Also worked out in the infield where he played with very good feet/tempo. Hands work well. Grades out slightly higher in the infield than outfield but looks to be a ture utility type.
Throw:Clean, compact arm action with serviceable strength. Accurate thrower.
Defensive Projection:UTL.

Body Type: 6-foot, 165 pounds. Taller, lean build.
Swing Mechanics: Starts out of a balanced stance and swings with a slight uphill bat path. Can get better activation from his lower half to generate more energy.
Hit: Showed some flight put onto balls. Gets out in front and pulls the ball often which will improve as he progresses his timing abilities.
Power: 81 mph exit velocity. Exhibits raw strength for his class.
Offensive Projection: TBD. Has a few years to continue his development and get established. Current size and strength give his tools potential in future.
Run: 7.4 60-yard
Field: Presented clean actions defensively and soft hands while fielding it. Footwork was above average for his class. Athlete that fields it very well at shortstop.
Throw: 74 mph across the diamond. Stronger arm that gets it there quick and on target.
Defensive Projection: TBD. Plenty of time to develop skills at both positions.
11/18/17
A duel prospect in the 2022 class. Ran a 5.06 from home to first. A righty swinger that starts in an athletic setup. Goes with a small leg lift for timing, while taking his hands slightly back to launch. Swing is compact and works on a level plane. Tends to get around the baseball at times. A contact type guy in general that will flash gap pop to his pull side. Registered a top exit velocity of 76 mph. In the infield he plays fast and aggressive. Plays through the baseball with well above average glove skills for his class. Can get flat footed inside his funnel at times. Threw across the diamond with 74 mph arm strength. On the mound, the right handed pitcher uses a catapult type delivery with short, quick arm action. Average athletic frame. Fastball stays straight while sitting between 73-76 mph. Breaking ball displays some sharpness through an 11/5 plane at 64-66 mph. Changeup sits between 64-67 mph while displays some fading action.
