A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
A.J. Dallmayer: OF/RHP, (2023) Washington C.H., OH. 6-foot-2, 192-pound physical projectable frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 93 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then uses a small leg kick. Has a rotational swing plane, above average bat speed and good extension on his finish. Gap to gap approach. Solid his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 84 mph; showed smooth feet, and soft consistent hands. Showed an-over-the-top slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.22. Lucas Day: 1B/LHP, (2022) Troy Christian, OH. 6-foot-1, 195-pound physical frame. Advanced at the plate, the left-handed hitter's 99 mph exit velocity ranks him 1st at the event. Starts in a balanced open stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was explosive, and used a simple short swing plane. He created tons of loud contact during the round. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 76 mph; had firm hands, a fluid exchange, and consistent footwork. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.73.

A.J. Dallmayer: OF/RHP, (2023) Washington C.H., OH. 6-foot-2, 192-pound athletic frame. Athletic during batting practice, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 94 mph. Begins in a tall open stance with a quick controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick. He created some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Capable in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 80 mph; has average feet, a natural fluid exchange, and consistent hands. Athletic recorded an outfield position velocity of 86 mph; had a fluid natural exchange, athletic footwork, and sure hands. Projectable on the mound, has good arm speed and throws from a ¾ arm angle. Slow-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed an athletic balance point. a falling off finish. Curveball (64-67 mph), changeup (68-72 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 83-84 mph.

1/20/20 Position Player Hit: Very physical for class with above average bat speed to match. Swing is unique but barrel up most balls in BP and when he gets it, it goes. Power: Ball jumps. Chance to hit for occasional power down the road. Offensive Projection: Run Producer. Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity: 91.6 Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 281 Field: Moves with good pace in the outfield. Plays fast too and through. Ball skills are solid. Throw: Arm has a shot to be a well above average tool. Defensive Projection: Multiple spots
1/20/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Has a smooth tempo to his delivery with long levers through a ¾ arm slot with a projectable frame. Fastball: Fastball was 77-80 mph and appeared to be heavy. Fastball Spin Rate: 1500-1700 Curveball: Breaking ball showed curveball shape with minimal bite at 59-63 mph. Curveball Spin Rate: 1700-1800 Pitchability: Average feel for two pitch mix. Needs to work on increasing arm speed on breaking ball.
1/21/19 Pitching
Body Type: 6-foot-1 160-pound prospect with a thin frame and room to fill out.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws from a ¾ arm slot. The arm action is clean and works well. Uses his lower half and hips very little to generate velocity.
Fastball: 72-77 mph fastball that was pretty true through the zone with minimal movement.
Curveball: 56-59 mph curveball showed below average spin. Produced most the depth due to being thrown like a slow, overhand curve.
Changeup: 60-62 mph pitch that was mostly true through the zone.
Pitchability: 3 pitch mix for a 2023 was above average. Velocity was promising for his age and showed a lot of velo still left on the tabe with added strength, maturation, and ability to use his body better.
Role: Being above average in his development and velocity for his age makes him more of a starter type at this stage. Role going forward will be determined by continuing to develop on the same trajectory.
1/21/19
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 160-pound very athletic, physical frame.
Swing Mechanics: Fluid Load that leads mostly to a balanced launch.
Hit: Swing is a bit raw but when he connects it goes. Worked primarily through a middle/away approach in BP but flashed the ability to turn on the ball with authority.
Power: Long lever type that can really do damage when he gets extended. A candidate to grow into power with maturity.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer
Run: 7.2 60-yard Dash.
Field: Moves well in the outfield. Looks comfortable and under control out there. Shows above average ball skills through fielding.
Throw: 79 mph to home plate. Well above average strength for class with signs of more to come.
Defensive Projection: Frame says corner but wouldn’t completely rule out CF with his athleticism.
Additional Comments: Very phsyical kid for class with tools to work with. Swing will need some refinement as do most prospects his age but you can’t teach his size, speed, arm strength and raw power.
