Unsigned Senior Showcase (October 30, 2016)
Williams stands with great size on the mound at 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, rather lean with a projectable frame to hold more weight. From the mound he uses a quicker pace to his delivery, high knee-lift with high hands. Drops hard on his back side as he powers forward. Arm-action is deep, slightly wraps towards 2B. Releases the ball from a high-3/4 slot, landing on a firm front-side. Fastball sat 81-83 mph with depth at times. Shows fastball hand-speed with his changeup 70-72 mph. Curveball sat 63-65 with more gradual spin, 12/6 shape. Overall, Williams has an ideal frame to work with, and already shows enough arm-strength on the mound to get outs, no question a valuable option at the next-level.
August 2016
Right-hander showed an ability to routinely throw downhill out of his strong 6-foot-2, 215-pound frame. Fastball sat 81-83 MPH, touching 85 MPH, while he also incorporated a change-up at 69-72 and a curveball at 64-65. Five of the seven balls put in play against him were on the ground. The right-handed hitter also showed some juice at the plate when he clubbed a three-run home run.

New York Games (July 7-9, 2015)

Stands at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, with an athletic body build.  Defensively- He has a smooth approach through the ball, with average high school hands, throws with a high 3/4 arm slot, plays through the ball nicely.  Offensively- At the plate his setup is relaxed and very balanced, no stride, with a nice back load.  He has a short path to the ball, swinging on a somewhat upper tilt, and has high finish with nice extension through the ball.  Ryan is an infielder and hitter who shows some potential to progress to the next level in college.
Upstate Underclass Games (September 7, 2014)
Williams stands 6-foot-2 210-pounds with an athletic strong well put together frame. Pitching- On the mound he has all the projection you could ask for in a pitcher. Young, great size, and signs of arm strength. His delivery is quiet and balanced, clean quick arm action to a high 3/4 slot. His fastball sat 81-82 mph, topping 83 MPH with signs of more in the tank. He throws what appears to be a slider, gets around the ball a bit too much but with development could be a plus pitch. Fun player to watch grow and develop in the next couple years. Defensively - At first base he stays behind the ball, stays athletic with a quick transfer to a 3/4 slot at 78 MPH showing fast hand speed. Offensively- At the plate he starts weight shifted back, and a high elbow. On the pitch he back loads, heel lift and short stride for timing, path is long, bat plane is uphill good extension through contact and a high finish. His exit velocity was 86 MPH showing next level bat speed.
