Low effort. Top exit velocity was 80 MPH. Defensively - As a catcher, showed active footwork. Has an above average exchange. Throws from a quick release from a high ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 70 MPH. Pop time ranged from 2.09-2.21 . The 2020 Catcher is a must follow.

A physical 5-foot-9, 185 pounds C. Ran a 8.38 60 yard dash. Offensively- Tall stance slightly open. Bat will rest on the shoulder. Short load, short compact swing with a flat barrel through the zone with some lift at the point of contact. Displayed consistent hard contact during batting practice. The left handed hitter at a exit velocity of 77 MPH. Defensively- Wide low base with a big target. Displayed quick footwork and smooth transfer with a quick release. Short ¾ arm action with a top velocity of 70 MPH. Pop time range was 2.05-2.09.
Campus Series- St. Bonaventure (July 11, 2017)
Parker stands in at 5-foot-7, 170-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 4.90 home to first. Offensively- Lefty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside his shoulders. Shows a slight knee bend with his torso leaning out towards the plate. Holds his hands in front of the back shoulder with the bat resting on the back shoulder with no movement. On pitch, his trigger is a knee raise into a stride forward while his hands move back into his hitting position. Good lower body rotation getting whole frame involved in the swing. Shows quick hands to the hitting zone with a level barrel path throughout into a high one-handed finish. Demonstrated line drive ability up the middle and to the pull side during batting practice round. More of a trigger with the hands would help break up the swing and allow for better timing and increased exit velocity. Recorded an exit velocity of 67 MPH. Defensively- frames well but could be quieter with the glove. Quick mechanics on throws to second and could have a shorter arm swing with more downhill action on throw. Blocking mechanics are good and gets back to his feet quickly. Recorded a positional arm velocity as a catcher at 64 MPH and a pop time range of 2.13-2.28.
