Physical: 6-foot-2, 225 pounds; physical, muscular frame. 7.13 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Starts with weight pre loaded on his back leg and keeps high hands with a flat bat just off his back shoulder; hovers the front foot back, completely isolating all his weight on his back side, all while the hands work slightly backward loading his scap. Uses a violent hip turn while he keeps his shoulders turned the opposite direction to create a coil effect in his swing giving him quality separation with slightly uphill swing path that is fueled by his upper body strength allowing him to produce gaudy numbers in his round of BP. Crushed the ball to the pull side, smoking hot line drives to the right side of the field with ease and occasionally showing some juice to the outfield; peak Trackman exit velocity of 101 MPH. Defensively: 1B/OF: Starts leaned over, staying low to the ground with his glove hanging down in front / Straight up stance with some lean forward, walks into position; 1B/OF: Fields the ball with momentum going into the double play turn, moves his feet well to set himself in good direction to the target / Stays behind the ball in the air nicely and carries his momentum through the throw. 1B/OF: Soft hands that transfer easily to throw; 1B/OF: Long take away out of the glove, flips the arm up quickly and uses exceptional hand speed through a 3/4 slot to release. INF - 79 MPH. OF - 80 MPH.
6/25/17
Passes the eye test, stands 6-foot-2, 220-pounds, large frame, athletic build. Moves well to the ball with aggressiveness, gets body through the ball, quick & short arm, 83 mph arm strength. In the box he separates himself, powerful swing. Slightly opened stance, power to the pull-side, fluid path.
