Had arm side around the zone control and gradual fading action on his changeup (79-80). Keep an eye on this arm, as the frame projects and with added strength you should see a serious bounce in velocity.

Offensively: RHH - Started from a wide, open stance as the barrel bounced slowly in rhythm on the shoulder in the stance. Utilized a methodical barrel tip coupled with a lift and replace stride producing a flat attack into the hitting zone. Recorded a 79 mph bat-exit velocity while notching an impressive 50% line drive rate during batting practice. Mostly pull-side approach with quickness on the inner half, developing power at the moment and solid actions to continue refining. Up to a 263 foot maximum batted ball distance per Trackman Baseball; more to come soon.
Defensively: The primary shortstop flashed good early reads off the bat with a moderate, low posture on the approach; showed adequate feel for lateral movements working right to left as he fielded off the middle of his body. A soft glove hand funneled into the belt loop allowing for an accurate ¾ slot across the diamond (65 mph arm).
