Utilized a lift-and-replace stride coupled with a slight shoulder turn in the load to initiate a flat barrel path to initiate his swing. Showcased the ability to use the middle of the field with a line drive approach while demonstrating feel for his hands at the plate. Was repeatedly on time out in front at impact delivering the barrel head to the baseball. Hit into a stiff front side while recording a top bat-exit velocity of 70 mph per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary middle infielder flashed short, choppy actions with adequate footwork and a soft glove hand playing in the middle of his body through the fielding window. Featured an accurate, high ¾ slot with a short arm circle, projects the best at 2B at the moment. INF - 60 mph

Opposite field/up the middle approach. 70 MPH raw exit velocity. Defensively: Starts low and approaches the ball low to the ground and fields it out in front in the middle of his body, gets rid of the ball quickly. Medium arm swing with a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 60 MPH.

Martin is a 5’1” 80 pound 2B/SS with a slight frame. He ran an 8.70 60 and a Home to 1st time of 5.38. Offensively - Even stance with weight distributed evenly; slight leg kick into load phase; attacks the baseball with his lower half, getting the barrel on plane. Exit Velo 57 MPH off the tee Demonstrated the ability to get the barrel to the inside pitch and was also able to use the middle of the field as well. Defensively - Good instincts and first step to the ball; moved well laterally; infield velocity 52 MPH. Martin has a good base to work from as he continues to mature.
