East-West Battle (July 2017)
Muscular/full bodied backstop, wide open setup with an above average throwing arm. Swings from the left-side with signs of power, hit a long HR foul in game at SUNY Cortland to his pull side.
NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)

Sturdy 6-foot, 216-pound catcher, ran a 7.4/60. Offensively - the LeMoyne College commit has a smooth, fluid swing, effortless, stays inside the ball, keeps bat on level path through the strike zone with full extension for an exit velocity of 86 MPH; repeatable motion, uses counter rotation between upper and lower torso to involve hips, further lower body engagement will add to power. Defensively - fundamentally sound, stays low through the receiving, quick, seamless transfer to throwing hand with a velocity of 78 MPH, accurate arm and a POP time of 1.97-2.07.

WNY Travel Workout (January 16, 2017)

Syta is a 2018 backstop with a strong frame at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds. Registered a time 4.48 seconds from home to first base. Offensively- Begins with feet at shoulder width with legs straight. Hands are aligned close to back ear. Small stride that closes off stance. Hands are on short path and work inside ball. Hips rotate to ball but are limited because of closed stance. Swing plane is slightly uphill with some extension through contact. Matched his previous best of 91 MPH exit velocity. Defensively- Starts with a wide base and sits low in crouch. Quick feet but front foot remains open, limiting some power on throws. Smooth and quick glove to hand transfer with ball. Short arm action that you like to see from a catcher. Had pop times of 1.97-2.12 seconds and velocity of 80 MPH, which are both new personal bests.
New York Games (June 27-29, 2016)
Stands 6-foot, 210-pounds with a thick durable frame. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash, improved to a 91-mph exit velocity and threw it 73-mph from behind the plate. Offensively- From the left side sets up with slight bend in the knees about shoulder width. He strides in line, keeps barrel flat during load and drive direct to the ball. Shows good use of the lower half and a one hand finish. Defensively- Is a strong presence behind the dish, peak 2.06 pop time. Shows sound receiving skills. As a strong bodied, lefty swinging catcher he should certainly generate some interest at the next level.

Preseason All-State (February 28, 2016)
Syta stands 6-foot, 212-pounds with a thick lower half.  The 2018 backstop swings it from the left side and shows some pop in the bat with an exit velocity of 88-mph.  Offensively- Sets up feet about hip width apart and strides in line.  Hands start about ear level with a flat bat angle. Bat path is consistent with a two hand finish over the shoulder. With a strong frame he may even see more power gains as he learns how to maximize his lower half. Defensively- Sets up with a strong wide base.  Clean smooth transfer and was on the bag between 2.16-2.33 pop time.  With time to develop this 2018 backstop has a shot to really climb over the next 2 years.
