Nemjo, an impressive 2020 right-handed hitting third baseman/RHP showing good size and numbers, stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs 165 pounds, ran a 8.24 60. Offensively- Starts with from an athletic square lower half with the weight evenly distributed with the hands above the back shoulder and barrel of the bat parallel to the ground. Initiates the swing using a moderate leg kick, driving the lead knee back with an inward rotation, while the hands are dropped below and slightly outside the back shoulder. During batting practice, drove the ball well from the pull side line to the pull side gap, showing an ability to take the middle in pitch and drive it very well. Lets the lead hip activate fairly quickly causing an elevation of the body during the swing, with an adjustment to keep the lead hip in could improve on the already impressive 87 MPH exit velocity recorded on the day.  Defensively- Starts from an athletic pre-pitch setup with both hand out in front of the body with a moderate prep step. Approaches the ball aggressively, but gets the ball a bit deep behind the left foot. Transfer with a circular motion, bring the glove to the right hip rather than keeping it in the center of the body which causes the upper and lower half to get a bit out of sync. Recorded an arm velocity of 74 MPH on the day.  Pitching- Sets up on the center of the rubber with both hands held chest height. Gets to the gathered position with a subtle step to the first base line keeping the pivot foot centered, with the lead knee getting slightly above the waist while the lead hips creates a slight inward rotation and hands start to separate from the chest. Sticks the landing with the lead toe slightly closed, with the drive leg elevating and no longer in contact with the rubber but stays tight with the lead arm. The fastball, thrown from a high ¾ arm slot, topped out at 75 MPH, showed late life as well as some arm side run. The curveball, topping out at 66 MPH, showed tight rotation as well as 12-to-5 shape but with some inconsistent command. The changeup showed good differential from the fastball at 64 MPH, but inconsistent command as well. Has a ton of potential and size, with an adjustment to get better leg drive which could create more toe drag should result in better extension on release which would improve the command and consistency on all pitches.
