A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+

The highest Edge Score within the given year. Edge Score is a comprehensive score that takes the core-six visual skills into account, providing an assessment of an athlete’s overall visual ability.
Physical: Lengthy, even-proportioned 6-foot-2, 190lb frame with strength found in the actions. 7.27 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wide, balanced stance at an upright position as the hands operated in rhythm high by the head. Utilized a short leg-lift stride on time with a quick, stretched load to the shoulder, initiating through a flat path into the hitting zone. Good rotational scores and natural extension at the front of the plate, yielding hard contact to the pull-side and a 30% fly ball rate (via Trackman) during batting practice. Stayed in the legs well producing a near 270 foot batted ball distance and T91 mph bat-exit velocity, pointing towards developing doubles power to LCF. Able to continue filling out, further expanding already solid metrics.
Defensively: The primary outfielder approached with intent, fielding off the left side of his body with down chest angles over the toes. Corralled and exchanged accurately at waist height, releasing from H ¾ slot to the target (accurate, 73 mph arm, LF projection).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber with adequate pace in the delivery; got to a tall, higher stacked position while slightly leaning backward at the top, getting down the slope into footstrike with some separation. The FB ranged from 75-77 mph with good carry attributes (18 inches AVG IVB, 55% strike rate via Trackman). Mixed a looping, gradual 58-60 mph CB at 1311rpms for get me over (50% zone rate) and added a developing 62-64 mph CH at times (in advantage counts to LHH).
3/21/21
Pitching: Short side step with a leg swing above the belt, coils the lower half as stride out in line finishing on a balanced front side. Arm pulls down and back out of the glove before getting to a 3/4 slot (5'.4" release height).
FB: Pounds the zone with a heavy ball that has 17"+ of arm side run. CB: Big, early breaker with up to 17" of drop and 15" of horizontal movement. CH: Good speed differential coming out of the FB tunnel with arm side run
2/15/21
Physical: Large 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame with good body proportions. 7.31 runner in the 60-yard dash with sneaky athleticism at his size.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance with slight lean into a bent backside, utilized a quick leg lift stride initiating an upright barrel position through a flat, horizontal path into the hitting zone. Stayed upright in the posture yielding a 47% line drive rate and an impressive 89 mph bat-exit velocity through a sometimes lengthy, upper half dominant swing. Near 28 mph hand speed was more than noticeable in the box; 18.8 G’s of rotational acceleration points to a developing power ceiling he can reach down the line. Solid offensive contributor with room to keep getting better.
Defensively: The primary outfielder approached with intent, will fit into a corner outfield position with ability to stay behind the baseball fielding off the left side of his body, early down chest angles and a live 80 mph throwing arm from a high ¾ slot (good extension).
7/22/20
Physical: Large and well-proportioned 6-foot-2, 185-pound projectable build with strength found throughout the frame. 7.38 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wide, crouched stance with the hands showing rhythm high above the head in the setup. Utilized a leg-kick stride coupled with a load backwards to the shoulder in order to initiate a slightly uphill path through the hitting zone upon launch. Showcased a pull-side approach during batting practice with whip through impact creating natural hand speed towards impact. Demonstrated the ability to go down and get the low pitch, hit the ball down extremely well throughout the round with a high finish to the back shoulder. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 89 mph per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary outfielder featured adequate footwork with a moderate pace during defensive evaluations. Stayed behind the baseball in the air and approached balls on the ground off of the middle/left side of his body. Slight hitch in a repeatable, high ¾ arm-slot caused for some extra time to deliver the ball to the plate on occasion. OF - 76 mph
Pitching: RHP - Quick pace in the delivery with a side rocker step, medium leg lift and got directional towards the plate, the arm worked clean out of a high ¾ slot, stayed relatively high in the posture on the land. The FB ranged from 74-75 T77 mph per Trackman Baseball coupled with a developing 60-61 mph CB with short 11/5 shape. Countered with a 65-66 mph CH with average sell through the release.
