6/28/21

Physical: Strong, athletic 6-foot-2, 195lb frame with even proportions and feel for his body. 7.15 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Slightly bent, open stance with the barrel bouncing in rhythm on the shoulder to start; utilized a controlled toe tap stride to enter the hitting zone through a slightly uphill path showing a short, direct path to the baseball. Hit behind well, staying in the legs and producing lots of hard, fly ball contact to the LCF gap (50% fly ball rate via Trackman). Was on the barrel consistently, working up to a T89 mph bat-exit velocity and featured doubles power notching a near 300 foot batted ball distance. The swing worked efficiently and carried over into a couple good swings during game action.

Defensively: The middle infielder showcased a lot of control while playing at a fast pace, getting to the right of the baseball and creating momentum downhill, fielding softly out in front. Exchanged cleanly at the waist with a shuffle in-line before releasing from fluid H ¾ slot (80 mph arm, accurate). Ability to change arm angles depending on play and consistently used the feet to generate advantage positions to throw out of.

Quick, twitchy actions in the hips that clear on time and effectively keeps hands tight to his body for a quick turn of the torso that delivers the barrel to the pitch well. Hit the ball back up the middle easily staying on the ball very well through the zone; peak Trackman exit velocity of 87 MPH.
Defensively: Shoulder width feet moves well to the ball, gets around the right side of the it gain better direction to his target; Hovers down the ball, bending at the knees and quickly fielding and moving to the target. Easy hands that work up through the ball, smooth transfer; short arm action with a slight stab at the back, throws from a rigid 3/4 slot. INF - 78 MPH.
