Uses a slight leg lift for timing and balanced before entering the hitting zone. Displayed consistent hard contact to the pull side during batting practice at the Jr. Games. Stays balanced throughout the swing. Good extension after contact. Improved his exit velocity from the winter Jr. Trials. Defensively- as an infielder, gets in a good position before fielding the baseball. Fields the ball slightly off center. Smooth funnel actions. Gets rid of the ball quickly from a mid 3/4 arm slot. Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a balanced repeatable delivery. Delivery has tempo. Works off a high knee lift. Smooth early hand separation. Works down hill with low effort off a balanced backside. The 2023 graduate was did well working with a two pitch mix. The 2023 graduate continues to improve every event. Projectable hitting actions. Defensively – Light on his feet with controlled defensive actions. Stays low with wide fielding stance as he receives the ball. Glove hand stays centered. Keeps upper body stacked over the ball as he funnels it into throwing motion. Quick arm action with ¾ release. Shuffles feet to get aligned with target and get more momentum behind throws. Pitching – Mechanically sound, repeatable delivery with consistent tempo. High, balanced leg lift before getting into stride. Maintains body control into his landing. Glove side stays tight and allows for quick upper body rotation. Compact arm action from high ¾ release point. Aggressive finish to all of his offerings. Overall, very young player with quality skill set who will see big gains from additional physical development.
