New York Games  (June 27-29, 2016)
Hendrick checks in at 5-foot-10; 175 pounds having grown 2 inches and gained 20 pounds from last summer. He ran an 8.2 60. Offensively- Steven starts even, using a toe tap for timing along with a slight take back of the hands; stays behind the ball well; explosive through the zone. Exit velocity up 83 MPH. Line drive with some lift to his pull side gap. Defensively- Quick transfer after using quick choppy steps to get to the ball. Can get slightly flat footed at times prior to receiving. Gains positive ground into his throws with his arm strength at 79 MPH. Pitching- On the mound Steven sets up to his glove side on the rubber; uses belt high knee drive to his balance point with a slight coil. Strong finish over his front side. FB sat 78-82; touching 84 MPH, with some heaviness to it. CB checked in at 66-68 MPH and mixed a knuckle ball at 58-59 MPH but did slow delivery down to throw it.
New York Games (July 7-9, 2015)
Athletic, small body frame at 5-foot-8, 155-pounds. He ran a 7.78 60.  Defensively- Fields the ball deep but has smooth clean steps during the approach. Potential as a fielder with more movement and lateral fielding drills. Arm slot is high-3/4 with accuracy on throws. Arm strenght indicates that he'll stay on the left side at 82 MPH.  Offensively- Hitting approach is relaxed and balanced with a smooth back load and short stride to the pitch. Hands are short and quick to the ball with level bat plane through the hitting zone. Has projection as a hitter with hard work.
New York Pro Holiday Clinic (December 21, 2014)
Hendrick stands 5-foot-8, 155-pounds with a smaller build. Defensively- From SS he stays around the ball, uses smooth steps to the ball, fields out in front, long arm action, throws from a high-3/4 slot, above-average arm strength at 78 mph. Offensively- At the plate he starts slightly open, elbow up, bat relaxed on shoulder. On the pitch he goes knee to knee with stride, back load for timing. Long path to the ball, level barrel through the contact zone, high finish. Exit velocity at 79 mph showing signs of power potential.
