June 25-27, 2018 (NYS Games)

Peak Fastball: 82
Fastball Range:
78-80
CB/SL Range
61-66
Solid build with a filled out lower half. Compact arm action with a high 3/4 slot. Short arms the ball which allows him to keep his arm on time with his body. Keeps stride in line with catcher and all of his actions are simple and deliberate. Shows a good feel for keeping his FB in the zone. Consistently works his CB into the zone for strikes.
6/6/2018:
Brown ran a 7.71-60.  Arm strength from first base measured at 80-MPH, an improvement from February.  Pitching-fastball ranging from 79-80-MPH, topping out at 80-MPH with a curve sitting at 63-MPH.
Pride Workout (February 10, 2018)
Brown is a 6-foot 185-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and left-handed pitcher. He ran a 7.64 60 and a 4.56 home-to-1B. Offensively- Starts with his feet slightly further than shoulder width apart, bat resting on shoulder and a slight bend in the knee. Uses big stride towards pitcher as timing mechanism. Brings bat from shoulder and points it upwards on load, drives bat head well through the zone. Favors pull side but has ability to use all fields. 81 MPH exit velocity. Flashed some juice to the pull side gap. Defensively- Gets into an athletic fielding position, active footwork allows for east movement towards the ball. Uses wide base to funnel ball well and deliver easy transfer. Arm peaked at 77 MPH on throws to 3B. Pitching- Starts from the third base side of the rubber, brings knee just past waist, hands up near head. Throws from a low 3/4 arm slot at 77-78 MPH with some arm side run. Spots up well with fastball.
