Physical: Lengthy, athletic 6-foot, 170-pound frame with ability to continue adding strength to the build.
Pitching: RHP - Quick tempo with a deliberate side rocker step, high leg lift while sitting into a strong backside through the land and release, high ¾ slot with feel for extension on the front side and a full arm circle. The FB played at 81-83 mph with high spin, jumping at hitters out of the hand. Mixed a tight 69-71 mph slider with late horizontal bite across the plate. Attacked the zone with confidence and had a strikeout FB above the belt.

Pitching-the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery and a projectable live arm. The RHP works with tempo. Works with a slight knee lift. Works downhill from a balanced backside. Short arm action with a live arm. FB peaked at 83 MPH with late life. CB is tight and ranged from 72-74 MPH. Cutter has late sweeping action at 68-70 MPH. The 2021 graduate has a projectable frame and is a must follow.
10/28/18
Proportional frame with developing build at 5-foot-11, 150-pounds. Offensively – Wide, balanced set up with upright posture. Slight bend in knees prior to leg lift. Hovers on backside before getting foot down to initiate swing. Hands show loose hitting actions. Compact swing with quickness thru the zone. Low, rotational finish after contact. Additional strength should help promote more extension thru the ball. Maintains balance with quiet head throughout swing. Defensively – Controlled defensive actions with deliberate tempo. Maintains balance and body control when moving laterally. Stays low while funneling and keeps upper body over glove hand. Redirects feet quickly to get in line with target. Clean, compact arm action with ¾ release point. Pitching – Athletic, quick paced delivery with clean, repeatable actions. Works with up-tempo pace to get into high leg lift. Maintains balance at hand break with slight bend on backside. Strides in line with target and keeps front side in at landing. Live arm with short, compact action to it. Loose, whippy finish. Creates considerable extension over the top of firm front leg at release. Quality feel for 3-pitch mix. Throws with a high level of intent and conviction.
2/11/18
Scheppy stands in at 5-foot-10, 146-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Righty sets up in the middle of the rubber with a high left kick above the hip crease. Creates good separation with good drive down the mound putting him in a good throwing position upon foot strike. Repeatable delivery utilizing a high ¾ arm slot. Could utilize more of the lower body with a stronger follow though to get more of the body frame involved in the process of the pitch. Fastball range was 72-73 MPH peaking at 73 MPH. Curveball range was 58-60 MPH showing tight breaking action. Change up was 65-66 MPH showing some sink. Will need further development to take velocity off of the fastball.
