Physical: Projectable, strong 6-foot-1, 180lb frame with even proportions and some feel on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber from the stretch-only; used a medium/high leg lift to get to a balanced stack position, driving with connection down the slope at H ¾ slot producing some arm-speed. Repeatable delivery as the FB ranged from 79-81 mph for strikes at near 1900rpms, mixing a sharp, swing/miss 69-71 mph CB at an 11/5 tilt in advantage counts (2364rpms, 9 inches depth, 7 inches HM average via Trackman). Turned to a commanded and killed 68-71 mph CH at 1068rpms to tunnel off the FB. Feel for three good pitches and attacked the zone from the outset of his outing.
2/16/21
Physical: Strong, athletic build at 5-foot-11, 180 lbs. 7.47 runner in the 60.
Offensively: Slightly open stance with the feet outside shoulder width and the front foot turned in while the hands start relaxed down in front of the shoulder; hands load up and back to a strong position with a slight barrel tip while take a low stride back to even; lower half stays balanced through out; the barrel is direct to contact with a slight uphill finish generating hard contact with gap to gap pop. peak exit velo of 92 MPH per Trackman.
Defensively: Athletic footwork playing low to the ground beating the ball to the spot while continuing momentum through; the glove is soft fielding the ball in front with clean transfers; ability to throw from multiple arm angles while making the play on the run with relative ease. INF: 79 MPH
7/22/20
Physical: Lean, well proportioned 5-foot-10, 162-pound frame with strength throughout the lower half in the actions. 7.58 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, loose stance with the hands starting right at the shoulder with rhythm in the elbow pre launch. Utilized a short and quick toe-tap stride while staying connected to the ground in order to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path with whip into the hitting zone. Generated a pull-side approach during batting practice while repeatedly impacting the ball out in front of the plate. Stayed relatively tall throughout the posture in the swing but got the job done with long levers and some weight shift into a stiff front side. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 90 mph per Trackman Baseball with the ability to hit any pitch to any field when pitched into different quadrants. Defensively: The primary middle infielder moved with intent showcasing short, rangy actions to either side and repeatedly beat the ball to the spot while moving downhill through the fielding window. A soft glove hand could push or give depending on the hop and quality catch and throw skills should point to the ability to play at a solid pace across the infield. The arm projects better at 2B at the moment out of a ¾ slot with a moderate arm circle.
