Downstate Unsigned Senior (October 22, 2017)
Delorbe stands in at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 7.63 – 60. Offensively- Lefty sets up in an open stance with his feet just outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding his above the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a knee raise to stride forward squaring up to the pitcher while his hands move back slightly into his hitting position. Shows quick hands to the zone with an upward lift barrel path throughout into a high two-handed finish. Has good lower body rotation getting whole frame involved in swing. Demonstrated ability to hit line drives up the middle and pull slide during batting practice round. Clean, fluid swing with potential. Recorded an exit velocity of 85 MPH, a 5 MPH improvement from February 2017. Defensively- Good approach getting underneath the baseball. Has a good transition from the glove to the throwing position with an appropriate outfielder arm swing. Smooth crow hop mechanics gaining ground throughout the process of the throw. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 84 MPH, a 2 MPH improvement from his previous best mark of 82 MPH set in February 2017. Overall a good 2018 prospect that is still available.

Winter Open (February 12, 2017)
Delorbe  stands an athletic 5-foot-10 160 pounds; he improved his 60 time to 7.57 from 7.80. Offensively- Sets up slightly open, posted up over back leg with hands relaxed just off shoulder. Controlled take back of the hands with a leg kick back to even; front foot down in time and back foot-hips-hands sequence to the ball. Relatively short into the zone with moderate extension; middle to pull side line drive results. Exit velocity improved by 7 MPH to 80 MPH. Room for additional aggression and explosiveness through the zone. Defensively- Controlled, gliding approach in the outfield. Fields ball outside lead foot but can occasionally work in a second crowhop before release, disrupting his timing. Arm strength improved 4 MPH to 82 MPH. Improved footspeed needed to be flexible at all three OF positions; LF type at next level. Did not see on mound this time but projects here as well.
Downstate Fall Preview (October 2, 2016)

Delorbe,a 2018 left-handed pitcher/outfielder stands at  5-foot-10 and weighs 160 pounds, ran a  7.8 60. Offensively- Starts with a crouched base,  feet more than shoulder width apart and weight centered. Hands start above the back shoulder with the barrel of the bat parallel to the ground. Begins the launch phase of the swing using a front leg lift while  shifting the weight to the back side while the hands are loaded straight off the back shoulder. Showed ability to drive the ball from the pull side gap to the line during batting practice. Recorded an exit velocity of 73 MPH on the day.  Defensively- Athletic and fluid movements on balls hit in the air. Showed an ability to take effective routes to the ball in the gaps being able to get the body in a position behind the ball and create momentum towards the target. Had long arm action with a quick transfer. Throws showed good carry and accuracy. Recorded an arm velocity of 78 MPH. Pitching- Starts from the center of the rubber with the body slightly open towards the first base side hands held shoulder height. Begins the delivery home with a drop step towards third base while the hands remain shoulder height and lead knee elevating chest high. Throws from a high ¾ arm slot using a fair amount of deception with the glove and separation. Fastball topped out at 78 MPH but have the deception of 80+ during live action. Curveball showed tight rotation and 2-to-7 break topping out at 65 MPH.
