A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Slider
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.

The highest Edge Score within the given year. Edge Score is a comprehensive score that takes the core-six visual skills into account, providing an assessment of an athlete’s overall visual ability.
Physical: Projectable, high-waisted, XL 6-foot-6, 205lb frame with long levers. 8.17 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH - Narrow, even stance with the hands starting high by the head; utilized a toe tap stride, initiating the bat head through a short, slightly uphill path that slotted early to enter the hitting zone. Able to launch immediately with confidence to pull, creating natural lift in the swing. Notched a T85 mph bat-exit velocity and near 40% fly ball rate (via Trackman) pointing towards singles power at the moment and working up to a near 300 foot batted ball distance (285 feet).
Defensively: The first baseman operated with length around the bag, bending at the waist and showing some range to either side with strong lateral movements. Fielded softly, funneling inward and releasing from a lower ¾ slot with medium intent (73 mph arm, accurate).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle of the rubber with a short side rocker and held pace into the leg lift; paused at the top of the stack working on time down the slope at H ¾ slot. Created slight down angle on the FB at 76-78 mph (strikes, 1755 rpms) adding a sharp, swing/miss 64-67 mph SL (T22 inches HM via Trackman). Mixed a developing 65-67 mph CH at 1472rpms on occasion. Easy one-two punch in FB/SL and possible third pitch coming along soon.

Tall, upright stance with a wide base, bat rests on his back shoulder, hands work down and back on load along with a small leg lift for timing Swing works on an uphill plane to and through the point of contact, hands are quick to the ball. Strong contact up the middle and to his pull side. 70 MPH raw exit velocity. Defensively: Smooth lateral movements, fields the ball in the middle of his body, gets rid of the ball quickly. Short arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot. INF - 70 MPH. Pitching: Builds momentum with high leg lift, gets into back side as strides out in line, glove arm reaches up and across before pulling through to a repeatable release. Drops down and back with slight hitch before hesitation before getting up to a high 3/4 slot. FB: T72, 69-70 MPH. Commands in the zone with downhill plane. CB: 54-57 MPH. 11-5 shape. CH: 64-64 MPH.
