Oliveri is a 5-foot-11 162-pound right-handed pitcher and first baseman. Lanky/wiry frame. Ran a 8.58 60. Offensively- Stands straight up, open stance. Pick up and put down of front foot for timing. Swings down on the ball, ground ball and line drive results. Slight arm bar, two-handed finish. Improved lower half (explosiveness) needed. Exit velocity of 71 MPH. Defensively- Can get flat footed, reactive instead of attacking when fielding. Good transfer from glove to throw. Arm strength of 71 MPH from a low slot. Pitching- Starts on the left side of the rubber, brings knee up to belt, then drops down to a side arm slot. Fastball clocked at 73-75 MPH but as high as 78 MPH. Good command of all pitches; breaking ball more slider like at 64-65 MPH. Finishes in good position to field the ball. Oliveri could slot in as a relief pitcher at the next level.
