WNY Travel Workout (January 16, 2017)

Miller checks in at 5-foot-8, 120 pounds. Was timed from home to first in 4.35 seconds. Offensively- Starts with his feet at shoulder width and knees bent. Hands are aligned just above his back shoulder. Hands load down and back while using a lift and replace stride. Hands go away from body before coming forward. Limited extension through ball. Finish occurs right after contact. Has a slightly uphill swing plane. Recorded an exit velocity of 84 MPH from the tee. Defensively- Approaches ball smoothly and is light on his feet. Catches with confident hands. Shuffles feet together to gain momentum on throws. Sets up with wide base and knees slightly bent.Loose and easy arm with throwing velocity of 67 MPH across the infield. Pitching- Begins with feet at shoulder width and body centered over the rubber. Legs are straight and hands start in front of chest. Small side step to left as right foot pivots onto rubber. Knee lift comes to chest height at balance point with back turned slightly towards home plate. Average stride length that lands in line with home plate. Full, loose arm circle on backside. Over the top throwing motion with head pull to 1B side. Fastball sat at 71-74 MPH, while curveball was 65-67 MPH and changeup 69-70 MPH.
