The Niagara University commit certainly looks the part of a D-1 caliber player. Battaglia has a tall strong frame with a thick powerful lower half. At the plate sets up outside shoulder width, bat loads a little flat but explodes through the zone. He’s got next level pop in the bat and a frame that will continue to get stronger and help elevate his game.

Stands at 6-foot-0, 188-pounds has a strong, thick body frame. Clean and quick approach as a fielder. Smooth and quick glove work which makes up for his average footwork and range. Throws accurately with a high-3/4 arm slot. Relaxed and balanced approach at the plate. Short stride with a smooth back load before contact. Compact and strong hand path through the zone with full bat extension to a high athletic finish. Solid contact and power potential with a lot of projection.

At the plate he shows a balanced setup, slightly open stance, and short stride. Shows a short bat path to the ball, loads back, hands power inside the ball.  Bat plane slightly inclined through the contact zone, good extension.  He shows a balanced finish, athletic, power projection, next level bat showing a high-level bat, 88 mph exit velocity. 1B- He fields the ball out in front of his body, loads to throw, long, over-the-top arm slot, clean action. Good footwork.  He has all the tools in his 6-foot-0, 188-pound frame.
