Physical: Durable, well-proportioned 6-foot, 180lb frame with strength found in the lower half on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - The righty started off the middle of the rubber using a repeatable operation in the delivery; gained momentum throughout, getting to a balanced stack position and driving connected into footstrike. Athletic strike-thrower that repeated well, landing strikes from H ¾ slot early in counts. The FB ranged from 80-81 mph with heavy action into the zone, working consistently to the arm-side. Mixed a horizontal 70-72 mph SL that held plane across the plate spinning up to around 1950rpms. Then added a 75-76 mph sinker that could generate groundball contact at the bottom of the zone (50% strike rate via Trackman).
Pitching: Builds momentum with a fundamental balanced delivery accelerating through a repeatable release point. Long, loose arm action to a natural 3/4 release. FB: T 81MPH, 80-81 MPH. Commands in the zone with an average spin of 1948 RPM, 14.3 inches of vertical ride and 7.6 inches of arm side run. CB: 72-74 MPH. 5-foot-9, 165-pound, smaller, wiry strong athletic frame, with room for future advancement. A right-handed pitcher, delivery has tempo, building momentum down the mound, small forward lean, direction is inline. The lift is athletic, coil to it, arm action is super clean, whippy and works with minimal effort, showing hand speed from the side view. The fastball touched 81 mph, with arm side run to it, located to both sides of the plate. The changeup is a legit pitch, comes out of the hand looking like a fastball, multiple swings and misses with weak contact. The breaking ball has correct shape and spin to it, slurve break at times, reached 70 mph. Look for the frame to fill out, velocity should climb, good looking projectable arm.
