May 2017

Coming off a broken thumb on the throwing hand. Showed grit despite it not being his best day. Fastball sits in the low 80's and the spin pitch is very good. The changeup is his best pitch, but only showed a few times.

NY Games (June 27-29, 2016)
DeBrino is a 5-foot-7 155-pound 2B/RHP. He ran a 7.29 60 Offensively- Athletic open stance, hands at ear level off of back shoulder with bat rhythm. Toe touch stride and great separation and level bat angle. Hands stay nice and long through zone and finish is in balance with a low one-handed finish. Exit velocity: 92 MPH (up 5 MPH from Sept. 2015). Defensively- DeBrino gets around ball well, feet are  a bit choppy. Smooth hands and quick transfer. Good going glove side and to the backhand, can work on throwing on the run. Gets body going toward first base well and throws 83 MPH  across the diamond, ¾ slot (up 7 MPH from Sept. 2015). Promising dual prospect as he was up to 84 MPH on the mound as well.
Eastern NY All-Star Game (September 13, 2015)
Stands at 5-foot-7, 150 pounds, with an athletic body build.  Defensively - He has a good approach through the ball, with smooth, soft hands, throws with a high 3/4 arm action, plays through the ball, and has accuracy on the target. Arm strength was 76 MPH.  Offensively - At the plate his setup is balanced, medium leg kick stride, with a back load.  His hands are very compact and strong, swinging with a level plane, with good extension through the ball, with a shoulder high finish. Exit Velocity was 87 MPH.
