NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Sturdy 5-foot-8, 185-pound right-hander, ran a 7.57/60. Pitching - gets downward plane on fastball at 83-85 MPH, arm-side run, short delivery, clean arm action gives the perception of more power as ball gets to plate quickly, keeps tight 12-to-6 curveball at 69-70 MPH down in the zone. Offensively - appropriate pre-pitch movement, quick to the ball, uses all fields, keeps bat on level plane with emerging counter rotation between upper and lower torso, extends after contact with an exit velocity of 85 MPH further lower half engagement will produce more power.
June 7, 2017

60: 7.37
Catcher Velo: 79 MPH
Pop Time: 1.93-1.98
FB: 82-84 MPH (Peak 84 MPH)
CB: 70-71 MPH

Eastern NY All-Star Game (September 13, 2015)
Stands at 5-foot-8, 165 pounds, with an athletic body build.  Defensively - Behind the plate he uses a closed off stance, quick transfer, above average arm for a sophomore, gains some ground.  Athletic for the position, wide with his blocks. Quick footwork, strong arm equal a sub 2.0 pop time to second. Offensively - At the plate his setup is wide, weight shifted back, uses a leg swing and stride for timing. His hands are compact, strong (85 exit velo), short path, barrel is slightly uphill, short extension after contact. Pitching - On the mound, he uses a simple side step, compact delivery, arm action is shorter, stabs down before acceleration, throws with an over-the-top arm slot, thick strong lower half that drives to the plate. Fastball got up to 83 mph on one plane.  Curveball sat 68-70, loose at times, when tight 11/5 shape.
Futures Games (July 2015):
Arroyo impressed with his versatility and also put up some very well rounded measurables. The 2018 grad of Burke Catholic projects better behind the plate then on the mound or in the OF, although serviceable at both, especially in the OF with a 6.84 60 time. Arroyo featured an 83 MPH exit velocity, 2.12 pop time and was 79 MPH from the OF. Pitching On the mound he sat in the upper 70's and featured a tight slider. Compact build and short arm action more suitable behind the dish but will work in short scenarios on the mound. Offensively Will benefit from calming his movements at the plate as he has a few extra moving parts during the timing phase. Gets through the zone quickly with a high finish. Defensively: Arroyo presents a great target behind the plate and has significantly cut down his release time by staying low and working on transfer. Becoming a better receiver and blocker as game experience continues. Arm strength is there. In the outfield, because of his speed, he can have a legitimate secondary option after catching. Uses a short arm action with accurate throws. Would benefit from a more substantial crow hip to produce better carry.
Pro Prospects Training Center Showcase (Jan 2015):
Impressed with 81 MPH velocity and tight slider. Compact build but arm works quick. Potential both behind the plate and offensively but will need to fine tune the extra movements.
