Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Fastball
Hop+
A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.

A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
The highest Edge Score within the given year. Edge Score is a comprehensive score that takes the core-six visual skills into account, providing an assessment of an athlete’s overall visual ability.
The maximum speed, in the direction of home plate, that the wrist is traveling. Measured in meters per second (m/s)
Arm Slot
Angle of the forearm relative to the ground between maximum external rotation (MER) and ball release (BR). Which can be a powerful player comparison metric, delivered in degrees.
Knee Extension Velo
The angular velocity of the front knee straightening after foot plant, which provides indicators of velocity potential. Measured in degrees per second.
Deception
The amount of time that the ball is visible to the hitter, after the instant of front foot strike. Measures in milliseconds.
Hip-Shoulder Separation
The difference in angle of between the hips and shoulders, occurring close to the foot plant. Measured in degrees.
Physical: 6-0, 200 pounds; Proportional, slight build. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using an angled drop step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing some scap load; high 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 85 MPH, while sitting 83-85 MPH; commands both sides. CB: 61-64 MPH. SL: 70-72 MPH; short action. CH: 78-80 MPH; maintains same plain.
3/11/23
Michael Madigan III: LHP/1B, (2024) Westhill, NY. 6-foot, 200-pound projectable athletic frame. Above average and projectable on the mound, showed above average arm speed, he had a high ¾ arm angle with a consistent very quick arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 88-90 mph; shows command arm side around the zone and running action. (Max spin 2223; Avg 2104). His changeup (81-83) has arm side command and hard gradual action. His slider (79-81) showed glove side around the zone control and slurvey action. (Max spin 2036; Avg 2025). Big time stuff with more to come.
7/27/22
Physical: 6-0, 180 pounds; Athletic, lean build. 6.98 runner in the 60. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 3B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 86 MPH, while sitting 83-86 MPH; electric; jumps through the zone. CB: 68-70 MPH; 2-8 shape. CH: 71-75 MPH; fading action. Deception in the delivery adds to the breaking ball; plenty of upside.
6/27/22
Physical: 6-foot-0, 182 pounds; Athletic, muscular build. 6.93 runner in the 60. Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders outside the hips. Has a long stride while landing slightly open. Long arm swing while showing some scap load; high 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 86 MPH, while sitting 83-85 MPH; plays up in the zone. CB: 69-72 MPH; showed depth. SL: 70-72 MPH; lateral action.
6/28/21
Physical: The athletic 6-foot, 171lb framed southpaw offers a high-waisted build with projection on the bump.
Pitching: LHP - Started sideways from the far right side of the rubber; gradual pace early in the side rocker, gaining tempo in the leg swing towards a high stack. Created some hip-coil, hiding the baseball and worked down the slope with quick, athletic movements and a fast arm from H ¾ slot (fluid, FB ranged 79-81 mph, strikes, carry). Repeated well, landing a shorter 68-71 mph SL at 1661rpms average. Mixed a deceptive 72-74 mph CH with similar FB arm-speed and good separation off the heater. Strike-thrower who attacked hitters in any count.
7/22/20
Physical: Solidly built, athletic 6-foot, 171-pound frame with feel for his body. 7.46 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wide, balanced stance with the hands resting idle on the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a deliberate heel raise stride at foot strike while maintaining connection to the ground throughout the swing. The hands and barrel worked through a short, slightly uphill path with lift after contact. Generated natural pull-side jump during batting practice while contacting the ball off the front of the plate with long levers. Showcased the ability to be a gap to gap hitter at the next level with comfortable rhythm and the load as well as high level bat to ball skills. Recorded a top bat exit velocity of 92 mph per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary outfielder flashed rangy, smooth actions during defensive evaluations with active feet getting downhill through the fielding window. A soft glove hand fielded the ball off of the inside of his right foot with quality catch and throw skills. OF - 78 mph
Pitching: LHP - Side rocker step, deep hip coil at the top of a high stack, opens up slightly on the land. The arm played through a fluid, high ¾ slot showing a full arm circle, FB ranged from 76-79 mph with command in the zone. Mixed in a 65-66 mph CB with short 1/7 shape and countered with a differently shaped 70-72 mph with horizontal bite. Dropped in a fourth offering on occasion: a 67-70 mph CH with near fastball arm-speed creating some sell.
